Only Blue Mountain Power Co-op may conduct vegetation management around high voltage power lines and this work is done at no cost to you. Our right of way is 6m on either side of the power lines on private property and 7m on crown land. Our crews are trained to prune, trim and remove hazardous trees. We will provide removal for trees that are outside the right of way if they pose a risk to our power lines. If you are interested in any of the above or feel like the vegetation on your property needs addressing, please call us.
Members are responsible for vegetation management around any overhead secondary power lines, which are the lines that carry electricity from the pole and transformer to your home. If work is needed outside our right of way and you do not want to complete this yourself we may refer you to tree companies in this area.
