Pre-Authorized

Payments

Set it and forget it! Take a moment to sign up for a Pre-Authorized Payment Plan. Never worry about sending in, dropping off or remembering to pay your utility bill again. Set up your Pre-Authorized Payment Plan using a credit card or bank account. Pre-authorized payments will occur automatically on the last business day of the month.

How to Sign Up for the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan

Using a Credit Card

  1. Download and fill out the Credit Card Consent form
  2. Send the completed form to bmpc@bmpower.coop to set up automatic withdrawal using your credit card

Using a Bank Account

  2. Provide a copy of a void cheque or a Direct Deposit Form from your bank
  3. Send both documents to bmpc@bmpower.coop to set up automatic withdrawal using your bank account
Online & Phone

Banking

Using telephone or internet banking services is another easy and convenient way to pay your power bill. Most financial institutions in Canada offer telephone and internet banking. Visit your bank and speak with your teller to set up Blue Mountain Power Co-op as a payee. Be sure to have your Blue Mountain account number with you when you go in. Or, follow the instructions below to set up Blue Mountain as a payee using online banking.

How to Set Up a Payee Using Online Banking
  1. Sign in to your online banking, find the option to Add a Payee
  2. Search for BLUE MOUNTAIN POWER CO-OP and select it
  3. Add your Blue Mountain Power Co-op account number, which can be found on the top right of your power bill
  4. Tips for Adding Your Account Number:

    • Only add the numbers: Do not use any decimals or spaces that may be included as part of your account number
    • Add zeros to the front if needed: Some banks require an 8 to 10 digit account number. If your account number is less, add zeros to the front of the number until you reach the required number of digits
  5. Once you have successfully added your account number, continue through your bank's payee setup process until complete
  6. Please allow enough time for payments to reach our office by the statement due date
  7. Payments will be applied on the date our office receives it
