Job Posting: Member Services / Billing Representative

Blue Mountain Power Co-op (BMPC) is currently seeking a hardworking and organized individual who can multi-task and has a happy ‘can-do and will-do’ attitude! 

Our focus and priority is serving our members and it needs to be yours as well. 

This is a key position in the organization.  Very often you will be the first person to greet a member or other stakeholder.  Your ability to make a positive impression on the people that you interact with is extremely valuable to BMPC.  Your innate enjoyment of interacting with people makes this position a fit for you.  You are a good listener and enjoy dealing with the varied and unique circumstances of the people that you serve.  You have a heart to serve customers and fellow employees.  You will be surrounded with like-minded people who thrive in this work environment.

Requirements for this position:

  • Able to answer phones and direct calls efficiently
  • Utility billing knowledge is an asset, but training will be provided
  • AP & AR knowledge is an asset, but training will be provided
  • Capacity to learn new software programs
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Well-groomed and presentable
  • Energetic, fast-learner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent level of oral communication skills
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Enjoy dealing with general public (membership) in person and on the phone
  • Able to multi-task
  • Able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
