The Government of Alberta has directed Blue Mountain Power Co-op (BMPC) to administer a consumer electricity rebate to our membership. Starting this July, a rebate of a total of $300 ($50 a month for six consecutive months), will appear on your utility bill as the “GOA Utility Commodity Rebate”. The rebate is given on a per site basis, so a member with multiple sites will receive multiple rebates. Eligible members include all residential, and farm sites classifications, as well as all other rate classifications with a projected energy usage under 250 MW hours per year. Members whose services are idle are not eligible for the rebate.
Be aware that you do not need to sign up for this rebate and BMPC will not contact you requesting banking or other personal information for this rebate program. Scammers might try to obtain your personal details (e.g. banking, etc.) by claiming that you need to sign up for this rebate. Any BMPC communication for this government rebate will be via newsletter or on BMPC’s website.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the rebate or your eligibility, please contact one of our Member Service Representatives at 310-POWR (7697).
