Co-operative Assistance Blue Mountain Power Co-op

The Blue Mountain Power Co-op realizes that building a new service can be an expensive endeavour. To aid new service builds, we have developed our Co-operative Assistance program. Details are as follows:

  • Term of 480 months
  • Blue Mountain Power Co-op can finance up to 100% 
  • Interest – 6.95% and reviewed quarterly
  • Blue Mountain Power Co-op registers a caveat for loan amount with land titles
  • Prepaid fee for quote is applied against total cost

New Farm Service Grant AFREA

We will assist in the application of this Grant when you build a new service with us.

This provincial grant administered by the Alberta Federation of REAs (AFREA) is available for agriculture services. A farm fuel number is required.

Grant is 50% of eligible costs over $4,500, with a maximum grant of $5,250, and minimum $25. This grant must be advanced within a year of the service being built - provided there is a grant budget.

Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC)

Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) is a provincial crown corporation with a private sector Board of Directors that provides farmers, agribusinesses and other small businesses with loans, crop insurance and farm income disaster assistance.

AFSC has provided Alberta farmers with hail insurance for over 60 years, and has grown into a diverse Corporation with several core businesses: crop insurance, farm loans, commercial loans and farm income disaster assistance.
