About Us

Blue Mountain Power Co-op is an electric power distribution provider with over 70 years of experience providing dependable rural power to members across west-central Alberta. Since starting in 1952 as Rocky Rural Electrification Association, Blue Mountain Power Co-op has grown from a grassroots movement to become a diverse and dynamic power cooperative built on strong values and exceptional service. We proudly provide electric power services to rural residential, agricultural, commercial, and oil & gas sites.

As a member-owned cooperative, we are owned by those we serve. Delivering power to rural communities allows us to contribute to the prosperity and wellbeing of our members and our community. Our team is committed to providing timely, efficient, and cost-effective power distribution services while maintaining rigorous safety standards. We believe that operating under a cooperative framework, in combination with sound business practices, is the best way for us to deliver unparalleled value to our members.
